Weggis is a beautifully located village on Lake Lucerne at the foot of Mt. Rigi .

Mark Twain visited Switzerland in 1878 and was delighted by Weggis. He called it "the loveliest spot that I have seen in Switzerland", climbed Mt. Rigi, a journey that took him three days, and named it "Queen of the Mountains".
